there is one in the porter meadow, if you’re coming from the kresge parking lot it’ll be on the right somewhere. The other one is somewhere in the natural reserve above 9/10/merrill, but I can’t remember where exactly. Though I hiiiiiiighly recommend wandering around the trails of the natural reserve, there’s wishing-tree-type stuff all over, look for well worn paths off from the main fire roads.
the wish tree is up in the woods behind 9/10 i believe. i came across one time near tree-nine (r.i.p.) but maybe i was more lost than i thought
I really enjoy your Tumblr, but as a former homeless person I find the pictures of homeless people on your blog to be potentially very exploitative. I guess I want confirmation that you are in some way helping them (by giving them change, food, etc.) or at the very LEAST asking for their consent before you (or whoever you reblog, or whoever submitted the photos) just snap those pictures and slap them up on a Tumblr in a "look at this unique hobo character!" kind of way. Thanks, and keep up the blog!
Hi, anonymous, thanks for your comments.
I had always been aware of the ethical dilemma concerning the documentation of homeless people, but I’m now thankful to report that the grand predicament has been settled for good. A bona fide former homeless person has assured us of the ethical and moral soundness of photographing the homeless as long as you cough up a quarter for the service of capturing pure human tragedy in motion.
