Police call Monday’s stabbing of downtown Santa Cruz business owner ‘unprovoked and random’
The lady stabbed to death yesterday was co-owner of Camouflage, Shannon Collins. This is really awful.

In other news, some fucking guy slashed a painting on display at the MAH this past First Friday. Seriously, dude, you suck. Though, I’d say it sucks more to be the asshole who is capable of destroying a work of art on display than it does to have a piece ruined by said asshole.
There are like, 3 things I absolutely hate in this world. Religion, world hunger and The Rittenhouse Building in downtown Santa Cruz. I’ve never seen such a baffling display of architectural confusion, a grotesque and terrifying nightmare but INREALLIFE. Every time I walk by it I just sort of stand there for a while and stare at it, ready to either collapse and weep or start punching the air in a solo rage. See my original rant. HOWEVER, our mayor Don Lane will actually use the building for something useful: the entertainment of Santa Cruz on April Fool’s Day. Read the patch article here.

Where: The Del Mar Theater in downtown Santa Cruz
What: FRIDAY NIGHT will be the show you all know and love!! SATURDAY NIGHT we will be attempting our FIRST EVER VOMIT SHOW!! That means we will be pulling our characters out of a hat in front of the audience! You don’t know who the cast is and neither do we!!!!
