Police anticipate about 25,000 revelers on Pacific Avenue and surrounding streets and plan to write triple-fine tickets in a “safety enhancement zone” downtown from 6 p.m. Monday to 3 a.m. Tuesday. The zone includes Pacific Avenue and is bounded by River, Spruce, Sycamore and Center streets.
There also will be a tow-away zone for cars from 5 p.m. Monday to 3 a.m. Tuesday on Front Street and on parts of Walnut Avenue, Church Street and Locust Street near Pacific Avenue.
